What is the difference between sys refcursor and ref cursor




















A ref cursor is considered loosely bound. This means that it is not tied to any specific record set. Great for dynamic sql. On the other hand a cursor requires the sql stmt defined when you declare the cursor. Tightly bound. One can declare his or her own data type with the Ref Cursor where as in the regular cursor one has to know what the output type is going to be hence know the data type.
