Campers explored the physics involved with the construction of straw towers, marble rollercoasters, and popsicle stick bridges. In addition, they were introduced to the Lego EV3 robotics kits. Campers constructed their robots and used iPads to control them remotely.

ARTageous campers have had a blast this past week! Campers started off the week by making personalized name tags, bubble paintings, and butterfly canvases. On Tuesday, the campers enjoyed making Romeo Britto inspired cats with oil pastels, along with friendship pins. On Wednesday, the campers created their own collages and mandalas. Later in the week, they assembled their own paper mosaic tiles and potted their very own cacti! Throughout the week, the campers had outdoor play along with movies during lunchtime!

We started off with a quick get-to-know-you game, followed by some amazing animal habitat art. We learned about ecosystems and invasive species, as well as food chains, through an interactive activity.

We then blasted off into space, making movable rocket space art, scratch art, and lava lamps! We had great fun discovering how simple machines are all around us and put our engineering skills to the test by building our very own catapults. Towards the end of the week, we focused on green energy and eco art by making our own windmills and wind-powered cars.

Be sure to ask your campers to see their space paint and crayon, art as well as their clothespin cars. Each Magic School Bus episode-themed day included a number of art projects and a science experiment to complete the day.

I truly enjoyed getting to know each and every camper and great fun was had by all! This week in the All Star Sports camp, the campers developed their in skills in various sports, including hockey, basketball, soccer, and football. They also became experts in fun games like dodgeball and benchball. The campers' competitive side was evident during relay races, and they demonstrated hard work and strength.

The campers' teamwork ethic shined through during gameplay, as all campers were cheered on by their teammates. The campers celebrated their teammates' wins and helped them with encouragement to rebound from losses.
